New Year, New Mindset

During the new year, many people say new year, new me, but what makes you new? Some state that they will cut off individuals to make them better, but cutting individuals off doesn't mean that you will change. It only means the people around you will change. Changing your inner circle can influence the change but the real change is your mindset. How do you change your mindset? You must do the following things:

1. Change your routine. Changing your routine, changes your way of life. It no longer becomes a routine, but a lifestyle. To create a positive atmosphere, you have to find ways to pour into yourself such as reading a devotional or motivational quote, placing motivational quotes around you, and listening to motivational music or speakers often.

2. Outgrow some things. You have to be willing to outgrow somethings such as negativity, drama, being comfortable, and even some family and friends. How do you outgrow things? You must strategically plan about the individuals who are allowed in your circle. Those people who are allowed in your circle should be able to pour into you and you can pour into them. You need friends who will make you accountable. Surrounding yourself with accountable individuals will cause you to outgrow much.

3. Seek a higher being. You can't do this alone. You need someone greater than you. Whoever your higher being is, seek them. It is hard to outgrow family traditions especially when you are accustomed to them. Anything that you have been doing for a while will need great discipline.

The new year, new me idea starts with you. Begin thinking about what you want to achieve and how much you want it. Focus on you and do it for you. You are important and worth it. It's your time and your season. Go for it!
